Authorities say a Yonkers woman who was looking out her window Wednesday was taken to the hospital after a bolt of lightning struck her building.

The lightning strike happened at One Sadore Land near Tuckahoe Road. Yonkers fire officials say the woman, who is in her 60s, was looking out her third-floor apartment when thunderstorms swept over Westchester and the Hudson Valley.

The woman's daughter says her mother is OK after being taken to the hospital.
