Yonkers celebrated the 7th annual Light the Sky Butterfly Release ceremony this weekend. The ceremony was hosted by the organization 'Mother 2016' outside Yonkers City Hall Plaza.
The mothers are a group of women who have lost a child under various circumstances. "The women here relive a moment the loss of a child which is something that most of us couldn't even fathom. I admire your courage, your will, your resilience...to get up every day and just do life after such a great loss," says Mayor Mike Spano.
