Officials with the state Department of Motor Vehicles say driver's license and registration fees will go up beginning in September.
As of Sept. 1, drivers who visit the Department of Motor Vehicles on Larkin Plaza or any other state DMV are expected to pay 30 percent more than they presently do for an eight-year driver's license.
Fees for a new vehicle registration, which last for two years, are expected to rise by 25 percent.
