Local leaders rallied Friday at the Fishkill Highway Garage to ask the state to restore the money needed to improve streets and highways.

The group advocated for the critical funds required for local road and bridge repairs.

Assembly Member Anil Beephan said local roads are the lifeblood of the communities that connect them with essential daily activities.

They urged the state to restore $60 million to the street repair budget.
