Briefing Notes
- There were 200 new cases of COVID-19 in Westchester on Thursday. There are more than 4,200 active cases in the county.
- The county death toll is 1,179. There were four deaths overnight.
- Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome associated with COVID-19, a rare syndrome showing up in a small number of children roughly two to six weeks after they were diagnosed with coronavirus.
- More than 60 potential cases were reported in children in New York hospitals, and 11 have been treated at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla within the past 10 days.
- Latimer announces cancellation of ethnic festivals for the months of May and June.
- Latimer says there have been "no complaints" about the opening of golf courses in the county.
- Saxon Woods golf course in Scarsdale and Maple Moor golf course in White Plains to reopen this weekend.
- Latimer announces two drive-in theater nights. One in July and one in August. More details are forthcoming.
