Latimer: Westchester County fully prepared ahead of Tropical Storm Henri

Westchester County Executive George Latimer says that the county is fully prepared as Hurricane Henri heads north.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer says that the county is fully prepared as Tropical Storm Henri heads north.
The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall to parts of Westchester County.
Latimer announced several closures ahead of the storm, including the Playland amusement park in Rye, several county beaches, the county pools and the county center where COVID-19 vaccinations have been taking place.

While the storm is not expected to make landfall until Sunday afternoon, Latimer says that the closures will be in effect first thing on Sunday, as conditions will begin to deteriorate by the morning.
The county executive also says that there will be patrols out on the water to make sure that there are no boaters out while the storm approaches. They are also closing off access to the Long Island Sound.
