A vigil in Larchmont Thursday evening called for peace and tolerance in the wake of the Pittsburgh shootings last week.
A total of 11 people were gunned down last Saturday during worship services at the Tree of Life synagogue.
Organizers said the event at Constitution Park would give residents a chance to stand up to hate.
Residents News 12 spoke to say they made it a point to be there to show unity among communities in the wake of the targeted attack on the Jewish community.
Many people also said that they felt comforted attending the vigil and felt a sense of purpose.
Larchmont leaders, along with several local and county religious leaders, spoke at the candlelight vigil.
There was also a moment of silence at the event.
