More than 100,000 residents are getting medical debt relief, according to Gov. Ned Lamont.
He says people are being notified by mail that some or all of their medical debt has been eliminated.
The relief comes through a partnership with the nonprofit Undue Medical Debt.
To qualify, residents must have medical debt that equals at least 5% of their income.
