The Lakeland Central School District has joined parents and police in the ongoing search for two missing teenage girls from Westchester.
Authorities say 17-year-old Evelyn Jimenez and 15-year-old Violet Munroe have been missing since May 12.
Police released new images of the two on Thursday morning. The images show the girls leaving a train in the Town of Southeast in Putnam County.
The Lakeland Central School District also says its counseling department and staff will be offering support to any student or staff member impacted by the situation.
Anyone with information is urged to call Yorktown police or New York State Police.
