A one-day-only pop-up park on Piermont Avenue in South Nyack featured games for kids and relaxing waterfront views for adults Monday.
The new park used to be overgrown with trees, but the village transformed the space as a place for residents to relax near the Hudson River.
"It's just to give the residents a look at what we have down there. And it is on the river, which is really quite cool," said South Nyack Mayor Bonnie Christian.
The park was only open Monday until 3 p.m., but the community can vote on what they want to see the area become.
