A kitchen fire broke out in Yorktown Heights on Wednesday evening drawing a quick response from firefighters.

The volunteer fire department says it happened around 5:30 p.m. at a home on Drew Lane.

Crews reported heavy smoke when they arrived.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen from a stove and was quickly put out.

There were no reports of injuries or displacements.

Officials are now working to figure out the cause.
