A 17-year-old Kingston High School student has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault.
Ty Juan Gray, of New Paltz, attacked a fellow student in the high school cafeteria last May, resulting in the victim suffering head trauma.
The school district condemned the assault as reprehensible and unacceptable.
Gray is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
