Police have issued a warning about a new jury duty scam hitting the Hudson Valley.
Police in Mamaroneck say scammers are calling people and pretending to be U.S. marshals and court officers. They tell their victims they must pay a fine for failing to report for jury duty.
Investigators say a number of people have already fallen for the scam.
Officials say U.S. marshals never contact people by phone to collect payments.
