Interfaith vigil honors victims of New Zealand mass shooting
Community members from different religions gathered Wednesday evening in Yonkers to display unity for the victims of the New Zealand mosque shooting.
Dozens of different ethnic and religious groups gathered on the second-floor rotunda at Yonkers City Hall, holding a moment of silence to remember the 50 victims.
With a reading from the Quran, the interfaith vigil was an opportunity to show solidarity with the Muslim community, and support those affected by the shooting.
The March 15 shooting was the deadliest mass shooting in modern New Zealand history.
