Incumbent District Attorney Janet DiFiore has declared victory in the Democratic primary for Westchester County District attorney.
The heated race was a particularly nasty one. DiFiore and her challenger, former Bronx Assistant District Attorney Tony Castro both blamed each other for negative campaigning.
DiFiore is running as a Democrat for the first time.
"I don't think there's any doubt that Democrats recognize me as the real Democrat," she says.
