Police are searching for five suspects who are accused of randomly attacking and robbing pedestrians in Yonkers and southern Westchester.
Police believe the crime spree started with the mugging of a 29-year-old man, who was hit over the head on Central Park Avenue and robbed early Monday morning.
Investigators say minutes later the perpetrators jumped a 72-year-old man in a parking lot near Secor Place before moving on to Mount Vernon, where three of them are believed to have beaten and robbed another man.
Authorities are also trying to determine if the same group is responsible for attacking a man in New Rochelle.
