Pride was on full display across Long Island this weekend, including at the Pride Ride as it rolled through downtown Sayville.
Hundreds gathered for the car parade, the fourth annual edition of the event that provides visibility for the LGBTQ community.
"For us to be out here, honking our horns, yelling out the window and screaming and gathering - and for people to see us - is super amazing," says Ursula Nigro, director of operations for Transgender Resource Center of Long Island.
The best decorated cars won prizes. A community picnic was also held after the ride.
