The Hudson Valley welcomes the inaugural retirement community on a college campus, as Broadview Senior Housing at Purchase College celebrates its official opening.

This innovative project aims to forge connections between generations, fostering interaction between students and retirees aged 62 and above.

The charter members began moving into the Broadview community last week, marking the realization of this project after extensive planning and previous delays. Initially proposed by Purchase College in 2016, the initiative faced legislative hurdles before obtaining approval to proceed with construction several years later.

Broadview Senior Housing encompasses a range of housing options, including apartment homes, villas, a clubhouse, a learning center, and a health care facility.
