A group of 83 Hudson Valley veterans recently embarked on a special journey to our nation's capital, thanks to the "Honor Flight" organized by the local nonprofit, Hudson Valley Honor Flight.
The veterans were treated to a memorable experience visiting the various memorials in Washington, D.C., where they were met with applause and gratitude.
The Hudson Valley Honor Flight schedules the trips several times a year, providing them at no cost to the veterans as a token of appreciation for their service.
The next flight is scheduled to depart on May 18, continuing the tradition of honoring and commemorating the sacrifices made by our veterans.
