With the holiday shopping season in full swing, "Giving Tuesday" - a day that inspires post-Black Friday and Cyber Monday philanthropy - hit the Hudson Valley.
At the AFYA Foundation's warehouse in Yonkers, nearly 50 MasterCard employees volunteered to pack medical supplies for Haiti.
The group is sending a 25,000-pound container of medical supplies to disabled children and adults in Port Au Prince.
"In one day, a crew of people can make an enormous difference," says Danielle Butin, of the Afya Foundation.
Giving Tuesday began in 2012 with the simple idea of the world coming together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
