Two Hudson Valley pool players are Las Vegas-bound after qualifying for national championships.
William Nicolas of Rockland clinched a spot in the American Poolplayers Association 8-Ball Classic by winning a qualifier in Newburgh. He will compete for a share of $280,000 in prize money next month at the finals in Las Vegas.
Vicki Moore of Suffern also earned her place in the spotlight, qualifying for the 9-Ball Shootout. She will battle for a portion of $150,000 at the same event. The finals for both competitions are scheduled for April in Las Vegas.
