A Hudson Valley philanthropist in Ukraine is sharing videos and photos of his time on the front line helping victims of the war.
Amed Khan is from Suffern and now lives in Croton. The 50-year-old has been in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion.
Khan says he’s helped with evacuations, aid and supplies.
“I don’t think people really understand the destruction that’s been caused by the Russian invasion,” said Khan. “The human element may be a little lost. Families losing children, mothers losing children, children losing their parents – and seeing it happen.”
Khan says he hopes people here at home will continue to recognize the need for humanitarian aid and support by sharing his experiences in Ukraine.
