Hudson Valley corner store employees to receive extra funds due to overtime fees

Eleven Hudson Valley convenience stores will soon be obligated to pay $371,000 to their employees as a result of overtime fees.

Eleven Hudson Valley convenience stores will soon be obligated to pay $371,000 to their employees as a result of overtime fees.
Federal officials with the U.S. Department of Labor found bosses guilty of doctoring time cards and failing to pay overtime from 2017 to 2018.
As part of the settlement, owners are expected to install electronic time-keeping devices to ensure staff members are properly compensated going forward.
The eleven stores include:

Sunoco Food - 3600 Route 9W Highland, NY
Coneco - 42 S. Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY
Sunoco - 510 Broadway, Newburgh, NY
Gulf Quick Mart - 515 Broadway, Newburgh, NY
Discount Beer and Smoke Shop - 779 Route 211 E., Middletown, NY
Family Wine and Liquor - 779 Route 211 E. Middletown, NY
Valero - 2558 South Ave. Wappingers, NY
Valero - 909 Route 52 Fishkill, NY
