Apparently, many people have a hard time saying the word Mamaroneck, and it's inspired a fundraising campaign for the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce.

T-shirts and mugs with the phonetic spelling of Mamaroneck are on currently on sale - hats and magnets will be available soon. The proceeds will go to small businesses still struggling from the pandemic.

"I've been living in Mamaroneck for seven years and I don't think there's been a week that's gone by that I haven't had to explain Mamaroneck," says Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce President Richard Leimgruber.
