House fire brought under control in Hartsdale

The call for the fire on Sunset Lane came in around 9 p.m.

Dozens of first responders were putting out hot spots after a fire erupted Thursday night at a home in Hartsdale.
The call for the fire on Sunset Lane came in around 9 p.m.
Fire officials said the home was vacant at the time of the fire. They said the fire started in the basement before it moved up.
First responders were able to contained the fire within 40 minutes.
Neighbors told News 12 the it was a new home.
It was not immediately clear as of Thursday night how the fire started.
