Hot water is working for dozens of seniors living in an apartment complex in Stony Point for the first time in two weeks

"I can't wait to jump into my warm shower," one resident told News 12.

The repairs came one day after News 12 first aired a story about the conditions residents were facing and pressed management for answers.

The issue was affecting one of the buildings at the Knight's Corner, a senior apartment complex, in Stony Point.

Tenants said the issues began on Feb.14 when management turned off the hot water for maintenance work but the water temperature never returned even after that work was done.

Residents said management put up signs in the building acknowledging the issue and stated that they were working on it. But nothing improved.

Seniors said they were forced to use baby wipes instead of proper showers and dirty dishes piled up because of the ongoing issue.

Management never responded to News 12's direct request for comment on the situation or a timeline to fix it.
