Millions of people hitting the road this holiday weekend are facing higher prices at the pump.
Almost 35 million Americans are traveling by road this Fourth of July and many say they are changing their plans to cope with the high gas prices.
Some are looking at trips closer to home, while others are opting to fill their tanks in New Jersey, where gas is cheaper.
According to AAA, the average cost of a regular gallon of gas in New York is $4.06. The price is almost 25 cents higher than a year ago.
