A summer travel idea packed with history, pastries and plant-based goodness is on deck for this week's Road Trip: Close to Home.
A perfect day in Croton-on-Hudson begins at Nella's Nutri-bar, where owner Kristi Godeck is serving delicious plant-based smoothies, bowls and more.
You can take your treats to Croton Gorge Park, where you can take in unmatched views.
And don't forget to bring history buffs to the Old Croton Dam, the country's first large masonry dam from the 19th century.
Cap things off with treats ranging from fresh-baked pies to savory empanadas at "Baked by Susan." Co-owner Susan O'Keefe says they have "something for everyone," and it's all made from scratch.
