Historic Ulster County bridge reopens after 4 years of closure

Gov. Kathy Hochul and Rep. Pat Ryan (D-18) announced the reopening of the Wurts Street Bridge after nearly four years of closure for repairs.
The bridge now boasts new and wider sidewalks, a testament to the extensive renovation project that utilized over 700 tons of steel.
Originally opened in 1921, the span connects the city of Kingston to the north, with the village of Port Ewen to the south.
