Chappaqua native and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented her daughter Chelsea Clinton with the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill medal in Hyde Park Sunday.
The ceremony at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill honored changemakers in human rights and social justice, including author and vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, Chelsea Clinton.
“She's been focusing on not only empowering women but also promoting early brain and language development around the world,” said Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton was a 1995 medal recipient. Thirty-two years later, Eleanor Roosevelt's mission lives on as the nonprofit organization awards those making changes in the world through education and social justice.
