High winds knock down tree onto power lines, crushing 3 cars in Yonkers

A huge gust of wind knocked down a tree onto power lines, and then crushed the cars of three homeowners on Hawley Terrace around 1 p.m.

One neighborhood in Yonkers saw some damage from the high winds on Friday.
A huge gust of wind knocked down a tree onto power lines, and then crushed the cars of three homeowners on Hawley Terrace around 1 p.m.
No one was hurt, but residents were home at the time of the incident.
Con Edison was on the scene and restored most of the power.
A wind advisory was issued for the Hudson Valley with the chance for damaging gusts into Saturday morning.
