High winds set off a chain of events that ended in a two-alarm fire in New Castle.The owner of a house at 30 Derby Lane says Sunday?s winds caused a large tree to snap and land on a power line, which short circuited on the roof of his house. The sparks caused a two-alarm fire. Firefighters were able to contain the flames and damage to the roof and the attic. No one was injured.The owner of the house was angry and says he asked the town four times to cut down the tree. Firefighters advise residents to have trees removed that could become a danger in weather conditions.
