Heat wave cancels some Hudson Valley Fourth of July events

Ardsley, Tarrytown and Carmel are among some of the areas to reschedule or cancel their events.

The extreme heat is causing some Fourth of July events in the Hudson Valley to be rescheduled or canceled.

In Ardsley, Friday's Fourth of July celebration was canceled.

Tarrytown's summer concert and Carmel's summer concert were both postponed.

Newburgh's Fourth of July celebration, Wallkill's fireworks and Port Jervis' Food Truck Festival, all scheduled for tonight, have been canceled.

Woodbury is rescheduling its Fourth of July event to next weekend and Middletown moved Thursday night's concert to August and changed the venue of Friday night's event.

There will be no horse racing at the Goshen Historic Track on Friday, either.
