New York City health officials say the Legionnaires' outbreak is over after identifying the source that sickened so many.
Tests matched the strain of the bacteria in a rooftop air-conditioning unit at the Opera House Hotel in the Bronx, which is where officials determined the outbreak started.
Twelve patients died and more than 100 others were sickened.
Three cases of Legionnaires' were diagnosed in Rockland. Among them, a worker from the Chromalloy manufacturing company in Orangeburg.
