A suspect is under arrest in connection to a homicide at an Ulster County home Monday morning. Police say a man was found dead inside a car from a gunshot wound on Vinegar Hill Road in the Town of Shawangunk. News 12 obtained a photo of the crime scene which is blurred because of the sensitive nature. They say the suspect was tracked down to a house on Dubois Street in Pine Bush and arrested. The identities of the suspect and victim have not been released.
A contractor from Yonkers has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion charges. The U.S. Attorney's Office says Mario Nunes concealed more than $1.5 million of income and filed false federal income tax returns. Nunes has agreed to pay restitution to the IRS and will be sentenced for his crimes in April.
Police are looking for two people in relation to a grand larceny investigation. They say the victim's credit information was stolen and used to steal the money. If you have any information regarding the subjects in the released photo, please contact state police at (845) 279-6161.
