Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A car fire on Route 139 late Saturday afternoon led to the closure of the road for nearly an hour. The Somers Volunteer Fire Department swiftly extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. Route 139 remained closed for approximately 40 minutes.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force arrested a 25-year-old employee of Sky High Smoke Shop for allegedly selling cannabis products to a minor as young as 16 years old. The investigation was launched in response to complaints of cannabis sales in East Fishkill. The employee faces three counts of criminal sale of cannabis.
A boy who fell into Lake Suzanne in Monsey is recovering after being rushed to the hospital. Details about his condition are pending. Residents on Vincent Road suggest installing a fence around the lake following a similar incident last winter.
