Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Two men have now been charged following a car chase that began in Connecticut and ended in Hastings. Police had to use spike strips in the vicinity of Lawrence Street in Dobbs Ferry on the Saw Mill River Parkway. Police say Ibn Foster and James Riley of Newark were caught a few minutes later in Hastings after abandoning the vehicle.
Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating several reports of shots fired on Wednesday afternoon. The reports came from Washington Street, where officers found shell casings and bullet holes. No injuries were reported.
A Massachusetts company will pay a $10,000 penalty following a fatal construction accident in White Plains last year. A settlement with Sealcoating has been reached for the June incident, in which a driver of a paving truck accidentally backed over a fellow worker.
