Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Two people were injured after a Hyde Park woman crashed into an SUV while trying to run from police on Monday. Police say they tried to question Grace Chefalo, 49, near the Rhinebeck Savings Bank in Hyde Park, but instead she tried to run over an officer before taking off on State Route 9G. Officers say she then blew through a red light crashing into an SUV. Both the suspect and the other driver were hospitalized.
A Middletown man is allegedly involved in a serious Brooklyn crash. Police say that Ryan Ortiz, 22, sped through the intersection smashing into a Honda Accord. Police say the female passenger in the Honda was ejected from the back window and is listed in critical condition. Ortiz is listed in stable condition. It is unknown if he has been charged yet.
A 29-year-old man was shot once in the leg in New Rochelle on Friday. Police tell News 12 the incident happened on Horton Avenue, near the Brook Street intersection, around midnight. The victim was hospitalized, but is expected to be OK. Police say the victim appears to have been targeted.
