Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.

A man in Harrison was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer on I-287.  According to police, he was walking in the middle lane of the highway around 10:45 p.m. last night when the collision occurred. Officials confirmed the driver remained at the scene and reported the accident. Westbound lanes were closed for approximately four hours. State police are continuing efforts to identify the victim. Presently, no charges have been filed against the driver.

Jacob Jackson, a 24-year-old Rosendale man, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the fatal shooting of a Kingston man, according to the Ulster County District Attorney's office. Jackson was one of three men who allegedly invaded Myron Moye's residence in 2019. He stands accused of restraining two women and a child before fatally stabbing and shooting Moye. Jackson faces a 25-year prison sentence.

Town officials in Ramapo confirmed the theft of an Israeli flag that had been flying outside Town Hall. The flag had been on display since Oct. 12, just days after the terror attack by Hamas in Israel. The stolen Israeli flag has been replaced with an even bigger one according town supervisor Michael Specht.
