Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A 17-year-old teenager is facing charges after allegedly opening fire in New Rochelle. According to police, the teenager fled the scene before being apprehended. Investigators revealed that the suspect was involved in a dispute before shots were fired on Friday night. A 9 mm shell casing was discovered on the sidewalk at the scene of the incident. The teenager is now facing multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon.
New images have emerged of a commercial vehicle fire in Stony Point. The Thiells Fire Department responded to the incident at 'Action Metal' on Willow Grove Road. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread to a second vehicle. Fortunately, they were able to extinguish both vehicles successfully.
Yonkers welcomes a new medical center with the opening of Kimball Medical at 354 Kimball Ave. The urgent care center offers a range of services, including physical exams, vaccines, x-rays, and blood work, catering to both adults and children. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony over the weekend to mark the inauguration of the new medical facility.
