Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A suspect is in custody this morning for the assault of a Metro-North commuter. MTA officials say the incident happened near the tunnel that leads to the platform at the Mamaroneck train station Saturday night. News 12 is told one person had minor arm injuries. The case remains under investigation.
Mount Vernon police are still searching for a person who shot a bystander Friday night. Police say the shooting happened in the area of 4 W. Third St. A source close to the investigation tells News 12, a girl was shot in the hand by a man on a bicycle, who is still on the loose.
A home burglary suspect is behind bars this morning. Harrison Police have arrested 45-year-old Christopher Wheeler who is suspected in a home burglary. Police say search warrants recovered stolen property from the burglary and a stolen loaded handgun. Wheeler is being held at the Westchester County Jail without bail as police continue to investigate.
