A Mount Vernon man is now facing jail time for killing a puppy. Thaddeus Jones, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals, according to the Westchester D.A.'s office. He allegedly killed a 12-week-old pit bull puppy last May when Jones was a passenger in a car driven by his friend. He grabbed the friend's puppy and threw it onto oncoming traffic on Yonkers Avenue, where it was struck and killed by a car.
Police say a man was stabbed in the shoulder during a dispute with his girlfriend in Yonkers Thursday evening. They say it happened a little before 8 p.m. in the area of 98 Elliot Ave. Officials say the man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The woman faces felony assault charges.
Police say a female pedestrian was struck in the Town of Clarkstown on Thursday night. They say it happened on Route 304 around 5:30 p.m. Officials say the woman was sent to Westchester Medical Center with severe injuries.
