Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Highland Falls man is now facing charges in connection to a burglary at an auto repair business in Putnam County. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says Charles Stoll broke into a building attached to Tri Star Auto Repair in Philipstown last month. They say an assortment of new and used automotive parts and scrap metals were stolen and loaded into a truck and trailer. Stoll is charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of burglary tools. Additional arrests are expected.
A man accused of trying to engage in sexual relations with a minor in Orange County is now facing charges. Wallkill police say Richard Rosa met up with the underage female - and was in possession of sexually explicit material involving a minor when he was arrested. He's charged with use of a child in a sexual performance and endangering the welfare of a child and is due back in court on Monday.
A 14-year-old is accused of calling in a false shooting threat at Pine Bush High School. Authorities say a caller dialed 911 around 12:30 Wednesday reporting a shooter in the school. The investigation concluded that the Pine Bush High School student called 911 using another student's phone. He's charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree. The case will be handled in family court.
