There is an update this morning on a dramatic incident on the Palisades Parkway in which a HELP driver was hit by a car as he was directing traffic last week. The New York State Department of Transportation says the worker is suffering non-life threatening injures. There is no word yet from police if the driver is facing any charges.
A driver fell asleep at the wheel causing a three-car crash in Ramapo. Police say it happened on Route 202 in Pomona when the driver crossed the double yellow line and struck two other vehicles. Several people were injured as a result.
A Wappinger man is facing serious accusations after allegedly strangling someone and stabbing them with scissors. Police say it happened just after 3 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Scarborough Lane. They say Michael Valentin stabbed the victim several times with a pair of scissors before choking him unconscious. The victim is expected to recover. Valentin is now facing assault and strangulation charges.
