A Middletown man faces a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to gun charges in connection with a violent incident in Orange County. According to the Orange County district attorney, 41-year-old Steven Bostic was linked to a revolver that was found last April during a domestic incident. Investigators say Bostic also possessed cocaine and fentanyl packaged for sale while he was awaiting weapon charges.

Police say a Cortlandt Manor woman bit an officer during the response to a reported disturbance. Officers say Kathleen Walsh was “extremely intoxicated" when officers arrived on the scene, They say Walsh bit the officer on the elbow after they called to request an ambulance for Walsh. She was arrested and charged with assault. Police say she and the officer were hospitalized, and both are expected to be okay.

The State Thruway Authority warns that scammers are targeting E-Z Pass customers, pretending to collect tolls through text messages and email. The New York State Thruway Authority says the emails appear official, but they're just phishing scams.
