A former Bedford town justice continues to face fallout for a drunk driving incident. Attorney Erik Jacobsen was a town justice when he was arrested in 2019. County police had to use a taser to get him out of his car and handcuff him. He was removed as justice shortly after the arrest. Jacobsen pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge in 2020. His driver's license was revoked for six months, and he had to maintain an ignition interlock device on his vehicles for one year. Jacobsen has now been publicly censured for his conduct. An appellate court upheld the recommendation, saying Jacobsen endangered the lives of the public by drinking and driving.

A Pleasant Valley man is facing a slew of charges for a series of domestic incidents. Officials say 43-year-old Thomas Zemko engaged in violent altercations that seriously injured a victim. He is set to go before a judge today.

The driver who police say caused a head-on crash in Goshen has been charged with driving while impaired by drugs. State police say Nicholas Cicio was arrested in Warwick on Saturday. The crash involving his sub and a utility truck happened on Pulaski Highway. At the time, authorities said at least one person was seriously injured in the collision. He is charged with vehicular assault.
