Police say that the body found in the water near Shore Road Park on Thursday is that of an adult man.

Emergency personnel made the discovery near the 92nd Street pedestrian overpass and the Belt Parkway just before 5 p.m. Thursday.

Citizen app footage shows an ambulance on the parkway and an NYPD Harbor Unit boat in the water.

Authorities say EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine the man's cause and manner of death.
