An Orange County man has admitted to selling a fatal dose of fentanyl. Thomas Lempicki of Washingtonville pleaded guilty to manslaughter and criminal sale of a controlled substance, according to the Orange County District Attorney. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found dead in the town of New Windsor in July 2022. Lempicki acknowledged that when he sold the fentanyl, he knew the drug might have a lethal effect on the person he sold it to. He will be sentenced in June.
Three teens are facing charges for trespassing in Beacon. Police responded to Tompkins Terrace for a possible burglary. Although the suspects were gone by the time officers arrived, they were able to locate them after a search of the area. One of the teens was found to have a loaded illegal handgun. They were all charged and released on appearance tickets.
There was a large police presence in Spring Valley yesterday at a field off of Dutch Lane. Members from the Spring Valley Police and Rockland County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit were seen taking brown bags and some evidence markers to a wooded area. A tow truck was also present. The nature of this investigation is still under investigation.
