Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley and Westchester.
FBI agents were at the Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River on Tuesday as part of an enforcement action. The New York Post is reporting the search was a part of a federal investigation involving the well-known wine shop Sherry Lehmann. It was reported that the company may have been secretly stashing a large collection of wines. On the same day, a paper reported that FBI agents raided the store’s upper east side shop.
Authorities have released the identity of the woman who fell down an embankment and died in Beacon on Tuesday evening. They say 42-year-old Sukanya Basu was taking a photo when she fell backwards down the 15-foot embankment and ended up in Fishkill Creek. She died at the hospital.
State police are searching for a person they say used a slight of hand technique to steal $350 during a transaction at the Bank of Millbrook in Pine Plains. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
