The father of the 6-year-old girl who was found hidden with her mother under a staircase in her grandfather's home - three years after being reported missing - is now facing charges in connection to a string of burglaries in Saugerties. Saugerties police say they arrested two men connected to several burglaries. They say Kirk Shultis was arrested just after 5 p.m. Friday in connection with a string of burglaries throughout the town. He's charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree. Shultis is the father of Paislee Shultis. He already faces charges of custodial interference and endangering the welfare of a child for Paislee Shultis' disappearance. A second man is also facing two felony counts of burglary in connection to the same crime.
